Our Crest

Our Crest is made up of two colours: Green and Gold. Green signifies growth and life. Gold signifies heavenly streets. In the middle of the crest is an Olive Tree. The word of God says “thy children are like olive plants round about your table”. At the bottom of the crest is our motto “growing in wisdom”.

BRIEF HISTORY OF GREEN OLIVES PRIVATE SCHOOL

Green Olives Private School was founded in September 2002 at 17, Wole Madariola Street, Aguda, Surulere, Lagos. However, it commenced full operation on January 6th 2003 when the first academic session took off with fifteen pupils and six pioneering staff. By April 2013, we are pleased to announce that Green Olives Private School was granted approval by Lagos State Government.

The school was established out of a vision to be the leader in the provision of qualitative all round education for children based on Godly principles, in order for them to grow in wisdom and become responsible and useful members of society with a passion for excellence, honesty, hard work, love for others and the fear of God.

The school runs Daycare, Nursery and Primary Education. The school also has after school care service and runs school bus services within Aguda, Ijesha, Surulere and the environs.

Its Board of Management includes: Mr. Olubunmi Onafowokan FCA, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Onafowokan FCA and Mrs. Oladunni Okupe-Emu. Since 2003 when it started operations, a lot of positive development have occurred.

With a modest beginning of fifteen pupils, six staff and one school bus, today Green Olives Private School can boast of One Hundred and Forty Pupils, Thirty Two Staff and Two School Buses.

The school runs a mixture of Nigerian and British curriculum, yearly, the children are prepared for the Nigerian Common Entrance Examination into secondary schools.
